The towns of Kirriemuir and Forfar are only 2 miles and 6 miles respectively from Drumshademuir and provide all the services you would expect to see. They have ample provision of grocery shopping with Forfar home to Tesco, Asda, Aldi and Lidl to name a few. Both towns have a variety of places to eat and drink at local hotels, bars and cafés with banks (Forfar only) and cash points, laundry facilities and post offices also available.
Leisure and sporting pursuits are well catered for with the two local towns, each boasting modern leisure facilities and swimming pools that are open to the general public and can be found within the local high school campuses. For the keen golfer, Kirriemuir and Forfar have their own well maintained and popular golf courses.
Parks and play areas are in abundance and Forfar is deservedly proud of its Country Park, a beautiful area of parkland and walks with picnic areas surrounding a naturally picturesque loch.
